>2. What is the shelf life? Do More Bars are freshest when eaten within 6 months and are dated on the back. They usually ship within 1-3 weeks of being made. If you are ordering a large quantity and are concerned with shelf life, just store them in the freezer and let them thaw out at room temperature. >3. The package states ‘avoid excessive heat’; does that mean that they will melt? Do More Bars will not melt, but they will get very soft, lose some of their bar shape and stick to the packaging. It is recommended that they are stored at room temperature or in the freezer. Do More Bars will vary in crunchiness depending on temperature. If you like them softer, warm them slightly and if you like them crunchier, stick them in the refrigerator. >4. The package states that DoMore Bars are produced in a facility that uses peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soy, corn and wheat products; how do you prevent cross-contamination? That is stated on the package as a precaution for those who have deathly allergies, because those items are in the bakery. The utmost care and best practices are used to prevent cross contamination. Also, concerning wheat, there isn’t any flour used in the bakery, which can get in the air. All bars are hand packaged, which eliminates the risk of contamination that can happen with automated packaging equipment. >5. The package states that the bars have been gluten tested and have less than 10ppm gluten; how do you determine this? We use the Elisa Technologies gluten test kit to test the bars for gluten. The test is sensitive enough to detect levels of gluten as low as 10 parts per million (ppm). We test the bars periodically to make sure that our ingredients are gluten free and that our practices are preventing contamination. |
